Buy-side Equity Research Associate

Position Overview

This equity research associate will assist the portfolio managers in making informed investment decisions in global equity market. His/her work would include deep primary industry and company research, data analysis and financial modeling. We are looking for a quick learner and effective communicator, who is curious and passionate about investment.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Write research reports that include industry and company overview, competitive analysis, valuation, and other relevant information based on quantitative and fundamental factors
  • Search, monitor and analyze industry/company news
  • Collect information from SEC filings, industry reports and sell-side research, attend investment conferences, meet company management, and speak with industry experts
  • Prepare reports and presentations for portfolio managers to review and discuss in group meetings.
  • Financial modeling

Qualifications

Client Service Assistant

Position Overview

MayTech is currently looking to fill an Client Service Assistant position. This individual will work, assist, and collaborate with the entire team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the operational excellence of the firm including supporting the investment team, client services, day to day office management and performing other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the executive team
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding to on board new clients
  • Anticipate client needs and expectations when delivering services
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory
  • Responsible for answering phones
  • Coordinate office staff activities to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment

Qualifications

  • Experience in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Familiar with online applications (i.e CRM tools, website management, social media, etc.)
  • Meticulous - Great attention to details
  • Hard working, with professional drive and desire to learn
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Curious, with a proven history of quickly learning new processes and workflows
  • High level of reliability
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively navigate relationships at various levels
  • Ability to multitask
  • Self-motivated independent team player
  • Sales/client relation management experience preferred
  • Bachelor Degree preferred

Equity Research Internship

Position Overview

The internship is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in the investment industry. The intern will be asked to conduct industry and company research, analyze data sets, and build financial models. He/she will work closely with portfolio managers. The firm focuses on investing in innovative technology, healthcare and emerging consume companies around the world.
